NETWORK RELIABILITY AND INTEROPERABILITY COUNCIL MEETING, OCTOBER 14, 1999

The next meeting of the Network Reliability and Interoperability Council will be held on October 14, 1999, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., in the Commission Meeting Room, Room TW-C305, at the Federal Communications Commission's Portals Building. The Portals is located at 445 12th Street, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20554.
The Council will review status reports from Focus Groups 1 and 2 and test results of intercarrier and supplier contingency planning. Focus Group 3 will present a status report. Finally, the Network Reliability Steering Committee will present its quarterly report.
The meeting is open to the general public. More information about the Network Reliability and Interoperability Council may be obtained by visiting the web site, at http://www.nric.org.
The meeting will be taped in closed-captioned TV. Also, the meeting will be broadcast live with audio and video feeds, via the Internet. The FCC's Y2K Internet Home Page is found at http://www.fcc.gov/year2000.
